I'm sure there will be an official training method posted by someone soon but for now I just want to remind players of the following:
>> no more foal games for the 1.2 genetic potential. >> now your foal can earn upto 60 skill points >> you can no longer train for "games" at 1 year 6 months
I managed to get my foal to max 60 skill points by doing the following:
** please note this is not an official method but it will hold you over for now **
groom pasture 1 hour max out play time stroke carrot turnip drink feed (as recommended play (make sure you have 20 energy left) put horse to bed
I did this until the 1 year 4 month mark whe I maxed out the feed, removed the pasture time and did "play time" until 24:00 ... remember to try and keep horse energy at 20 but anything over 10 and the horse will live to see another day.

I think that instead of newborn foals, 18 month old horses will flood the market, because the 60 skill gain will easily increase their value.

I wish they had just kept the old games and pets, and maybe raised the GP gain a little since 1.2 doesn't seem to be much these days. I wish howrse didn't keep getting rid of stuff.

Nah. If the gp gain were smaller, newbie players would have an easier time catching up with the top groups. Jumping from 350 gp to 1760 is quite unrealistic. The gp race used to be slower, until the gp hit 800 or 1000.
